The Manager must have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills to be a part of the Finance management team. Oversee 1 analyst to start with expectations to build a bigger team in the future.

Major responsibilities

• Aid in developing department goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures- Monitor and analyze monthly and YTD operating results against budget
• Perform weekly cash flow forecasting in conjunction with the RFM and Controller. Compare the direct method 14-week cash flow forecast with the annual budgeted cash forecast (indirect method). Must understand how to reconcile the two methods.
• Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiations and investment decisions
• Implement and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the departments goals and objectives
• Comply with all budgetary reporting requirements, including local, state, and federal
• Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance
• In the future hire, train, and retain FP&A staff
• Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts
• Manage the preparation of designated financial reports per schedule
• Work with department managers to develop five-year business plans
• Direct, review, and prepare budget management and financial planning functions
• Maintains and reviews budgeting and forecasting models

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
• Possess strong Microsoft Excel skills including but not limited to Vlookup functions, if functions, data validations, and pivot tables.
• Efficiency in a variety of accounting and financial reporting systems
• High analytical and extremely detailed
• Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including GAAP
• People management experience
• MBA or CPA is preferred
• 7 years of accounting and finance experience
