Piggly Wiggly - Lowcountry Grocers is Hiring a Meat Clerk Near Saint George, SC
Responsibilities include:
- Receive, store, and grind meats in a busy grocery store environment
- Unloads fresh, cured, and boxed meats and poultry from delivery truck and transports them to storage room with a handtruck
- Count and weigh incoming articles and compares results against invoice.
- Examine meats in storage and rotates meats to avoid aging.
- Cut meat into small pieces suitable for grinding, and grinds for use as hamburgers, meat loaf, and sausage, using powered grinding machine.
- Clean grinder, meat containers, and storage room with water hose and broom.
- Take meat orders from customers.
- Must demonstrate efficiency and delicacy with potentially hazardous equipment (slicers, heated wrapping stations, butcher knives, etc.).
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
