How to be Successful in the Role: This team is looking for quick thinking multi taskers and problem solvers who love learning. You should be collaborative, team oriented, and has technical curiosity. You should be comfortable using independent judgement and taking initiative while working closely alongside other members of the IT Client Technology Services team and with our partners throughout the organization. This role will have you use your excellent communication and strong troubleshooting skills with a wide variety of County staff, IT leadership, elected officials, and internal and external customers while delivering technical information and direct support in common, everyday language both verbally and in writing.

You will gain an understanding of system architectures, cyber security frameworks, and all system standards used by Pierce County. This position is part of an IT Systems Engineer series which offers a great foundation for future positions within IT and Pierce County.
Core Daily Responsibilities:- Provide consultation and support for customer departments regarding computing solutions, client-oriented technology project implementations, technology budgets, relocation services, and user application productivity including meeting training needs.
- Provide operational support for a variety of user service platforms including handheld, desktop, workstation, and laptop hardware, associated operating systems and application software.
- Working within and alongside the IT Client Technology Services team for engineering, deploying, and supporting solutions that meet end user business system requirements.

Minimum Requirements: - Bachelor’s Degree in information technology, computer sciences, business, public administration, or related field AND
- Four or more years of information technology experience required.
- Any equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience working on a team of IT professionals to deliver enterprise user and device services to customers and clients using phone, email, and remote support tools.
- Experience supporting and utilizing each of the following technical platforms: Microsoft Windows networked computers and peripherals, Microsoft Office 365, Apple iOS devices, Active Directory, and Microsoft cloud managed solutions.
- Experience and skills providing support for enterprise level end-user technology solutions, team-based IT support services and team projects.
- Knowledge and experience in enterprise user device and end-user cyber security practices.
- Exposure to both standard business operational management technologies and their application on a secure IP based wired and wireless network.
- Experience with technology vendor interaction for support and troubleshooting.
- Excellent communications in the delivery of technical information to technical and non-technical audience using written, verbal, and visual communication methods.
