Piedmont Federal Savings Bank is Hiring a Loan Servicing Associate Near Salem, NC

POSITION SUMMARY

The primary purpose of this position is to provide timely and accurate information for post-closing support services on mortgage, consumer and commercial loans. Responsibilities includes, but not limited to, file mainenance, reviewing loan files, cancellation of paid out Notes and Deeds of Trust, payoff quotes to clients and attorneys, processing of insurance and tax payments, and reporting. The position will work closely with branch teammates, clients and other internal departments to provide loan support.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

High Essential

Provide exceptional customer service both internally and externally.

Ensure accuracy and timeliness of (a) providing borrower information to credit reporting agencies and (b) paid loan processing, to avoid regulatory violations.

Review various reports and follow-up on exception items to ensure accuracy.

Process annual escrow analysis and provide follow-up support to clients as needed.

Perform property tax and insurance processing for mortgages with escrow accounts.

Review various reports and follow-up on exception items to ensure accuracy.

Ensure timely and accurate foreclosure records and entries to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory issues.

Provide department manager with timely and accurate reporting, as required.

Ensure required insurance coverage is maintained on all collateral property to protect the assets of the company.

Review loan file maintenance documentation to ensure the accuracy of loan account records when changes are made.

Perform loan review by verifying the information in the core system and ensuring loans are accuratly boarded in accordance with the terms of the loan contract and making necessary changes to the Core system.

Post back office transactions relating to mail payments, incoming wires, and unapplied transactions.

Scan and import various documentation into system of record.

Low Essential

Serve as a resource to frontline teammtes in handling non-routine loan servicing procedures (i.e., setting up pre-authorized transactions for auto payment, client questions about payment applications, etc.)

Process the cancellation of flood certificates, as required.

Process home equity line of credit draw letters, as required.

Provide payoff quotes and process satisfactions for loans that have been paid in full.

Provide services to Habitat for Humanity on various loan functions.

Support and assist frontline teammates account transactions questions.

Keep a document library of assigned duties

Non Essential

EDUCATION

High school diploma or equivalent work experience

RELATED EXPERIENCE

Three to five years Loan Servicing experience

QUALIFICATIONS: GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This job is conducted in an office work environment, and is generally sedentary but may require walking at times. Most of this position's duties require use of a computer. Some travel via car or air, and evening/weekend work may be required. Incumbent must meet the following physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation:
a. Use hands to manipulate, handle, feel, and control items or equipment;
b. Walk, bend, kneel, and reach;
c. Lift up to 20 pounds, using all safety precautions;
d. Stand and/or sit for long periods of time;
