Responsibilities
The Prep Cook is responsible for the initial preparation and all produce, meat, seafood, and poultry
She / he is also responsible for unloading deliveries, stocking and rotating products
Must be able to communicate clearly with his / her managers and his / her teammates
Keep his / her production to the level required by the Executive Chef
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work area and equipment throughout the shift in accordance with Health Department and restaurant standards
Maintain the high level of food quality established by the Executive Chef
Keep waste to a minimum and discard spoiled food products from the station in accordance with company procedure
Must be able to adapt and recognize changes as instructed by the Chef or Sous Chef throughout the duration of a shift

The Dinex Group, the restaurant Group of Chef Daniel Boulud, is seeking a Prep Cook for Epicerie Boulud OVA, our Eat In / Take Out market featuring the same quality of service and ingredients found in all of our the restaurants, presented in a more casual form.
The Epicerie offers a chance to elevate quick service dining in to an exceptional retail experience.
The Prep Cook is responsible for the initial preparation and all produce, meat, seafood, and poultry. They are also responsible for unloading deliveries, stocking and rotating products.
The cook will work on both prep and service of menu items including gourmet sandwiches, salads and soups.
They must have the ability to read and follow menus and recipes, complete basic mathematical calculations, and possess strong communication skills, and the ability to work within a team environment.
