Nurse Practitioner Pain Management Part Time

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner Pain Management to join our team. As a Nurse Practitioner Pain Management, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized care to patients experiencing chronic pain. Your expertise and dedication will contribute to improving the quality of life for individuals suffering from pain.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' pain levels and develop individualized pain management plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including injections
- Monitor patients' response to pain management interventions and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Educate patients and their families about pain management techniques and strategies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure holistic patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic medical record systems such as Athenahealth
- Adhere to medical office standards, protocols, and guidelines for pain management
- Provide support and counseling to patients dealing with behavioral health issues related to chronic pain
- Utilize utilization management techniques to optimize patient outcomes and resource utilization
- Collaborate with occupational health professionals to develop return-to-work plans for injured workers
Requirements:
- Valid nursing license and certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of NJ
- Proven experience in pain management or related field
- Strong knowledge of administering injections and other pain relief interventions
- Experience working with children in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team environment
