Dental Assistant Position Overview:
ProHealth Staffing is seeking a Dental Assistant for one of our partner clinics in the Central Los Angeles area, located in the diverse and vibrant Westlake/MacArthur Park area. The clinic is a vital resource in the area, offering exceptional dental services to underserved communities. If you are a Dental Assistant who is committed to compassionate care and proficient in both English and Spanish with at least 6 months to 1 year of recent experience in dental assisting, then apply today and help join us to make a meaningful difference in our patients' lives.

What We Offer for our Dental Assistant Position:

  • Location: Central Los Angeles – making a difference in a vibrant community.
  • Salary: Starting at $20/hr., with potential increases based on performance evaluations.
  • Benefits: Comprehensive health and dental insurance, paid holidays, personal days, vacation, sick leave, and a 403B Retirement Plan with 2% employer match.
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM – your weekends are free.

Dental Assistant Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist dentists during various procedures, manage impressions, and fluoride treatments.
  • Handle and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) for precise patient diagnosis.
  • Sterilize dental instruments and ensure preparation for treatments.
  • Provide oral hygiene education to our diverse patient base in English and Spanish.
  • Conduct temporary restorative procedures like fitting crowns or fillings.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the dental operatory.

Dental Assistant Qualifications:

  • Required Dental Assistant certification with a minimum of 1-year experience.
  • Must have recent Dental Assistant experience (within the last six months).
  • Skilled in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Must possess a current X-Ray Dental Certificate and CPR certification.
  • High School diploma or equivalent education.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is essential.
  • Current and up-to-date COVID-19 vaccinations required.
