Phoenix Labor Group is Hiring a Crane Operator Near Pascagoula, MS
Job Location:
Available positions in various locations: Mobile, Panama City, Tampa, Jacksonville, Pascagoula, Texas, Louisiana, etc.
Job Description:
Join Phoenix Labor Group as a Crane Operator in the expansive Gulf Coast region. You will operate cranes to lift and move materials and equipment in a variety of construction and industrial settings. A strong background in shipyard or related industrial environments is essential for this role.
Prospective candidates will be required to schedule a skills assessment and drug test.
Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of cranes including hydraulic and friction cranes, pickers, and forklifts.
- Handle controls and make judgments regarding load integrity and movement.
- Conduct daily safety inspections on cranes and associated equipment.
- Resolve issues identified during equipment inspections.
- Coordinate with ground operators and follow safety protocols during operations.
- Drive and maintain cranes and other heavy equipment.
Requirements:
- Must be NCCO certified.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in crane operation, with proficiency in hydraulic & friction cranes, pickers, and forklifts.
- Knowledgeable in crane hand signaling.
- Prior experience in heavy machinery operation in shipyards or similar settings.
- Strong understanding of safety standards in heavy equipment operation.
