Job Summary:

The Outside Roofing Sales Representative will sell roofing and solar services offered by Phoenix Exterior’s to current and new customers. Outside Roofing Sales Representatives are expected to spend at least 75% of their working time outside of the office and in the field performing outside sales.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Identifies and locates new customers through a variety of methods including cold calling (door-to-door sales) and networking outside the office.
• Builds and maintains a network of customers in order to generate new sales leads.
• Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs.
• Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.
• Perform roof inspections to identify any issues in need of repair and to determine best repair solution.
• Prepares service agreements, contracts, damage photos and revise/submits orders.
• Attend customer adjustment meetings and work with insurance company to limit the need for large amounts of back end supplementing.
• Collaborates with production departments, managers, and other staff to confirm that contracts are performed with accuracy and efficiency. 
• Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems. This should be done through nightly information reports (NIR), calendar updates, updating appropriate software, team meetings and manager discussions. 
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements (Essential Functions):

• Prolonged periods of walking and driving to designated territories assigned by management.
• Must be able to perform a roof inspection by climbing a ladder and walking on a roof.
• Physically able to climb, stand, walk, kneel, and crouch when needed. 
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times . 
• Must be able to travel in a vehicle.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
