  • Provide leadership over all fundraising and events, working with the Development and Communications Manager to strategically set, meet, and increase annual fundraising goals.
  • Act as lead spokesperson for the organization to external audiences.

Team Leadership

  • Cultivate a positive organizational culture that is aligned to Phoenix Bikes’ core values of community, sustainability, learning, leadership, and a passion for bikes.
  • Build and develop a collaborative, high performing, fun staff team by coaching, leading team-building efforts, and ensuring staff have access to the resources and professional development opportunities they need to grow.
  • Lead recruitment and onboarding efforts to both encourage internal promotions and hire top-notch external talent.
  • Ensure our compensation and benefits are competitive with peer organizations, are internally equitable, and encourage staff retention. Manage and seek to improve employee benefits.

Financial and Operational Management

  • Collaborate with the Board and leadership team to develop and manage an annual budget that aligns with organizational goals and priorities.
  • Oversee and manage the community bike shop and the youth education programs centered around bike repair and bike riding.
  • Work in collaboration with an external bookkeeper, CPA firm, and the Board of Directors to ensure proper accounting and financial controls and the submission of all required reporting, including our annual Form 990.
  • Process bimonthly payroll and support the bookkeeper in monthly accounting work.
  • Manage insurance policies, facility needs, and any legal and risk management matters.

Desired Skills and Experience
