Learning starts with on-boarding and continues from there. Therefore, the Learning & Development Trainer will handle on-boarding new hires and will also develop opportunities to teach with the purpose of enhancing the employment experience.

Duties and Responsibilities - 

Human Resources Coordinator role:

• New hire on-boarding & ensure initial training is complete via LMS.
• Audit new hire information in ADP.
• Coordinate with other departments to schedule additional training required based on new hire’s position.
• Other duties as assigned.

 Learning & Development Trainer role:

• Identify areas where employees need more education (new & refresher).
• Work with managers to identify training needs for their department.
• Ensure the needs/requests of the employees match company/department goals.
• Research and become the Subject Matter Expert on the topic of discussion.
• Develop and present engaging training programs for every level of employment.
• Implement leadership development program.
• Ensure full understanding of company policies, state, and federal laws.

 Back-up Support:

• Learning Management System (LMS) content and assisting employees.
• Recruiting & pre-hire requirements for all positions. 
• Workers’ Comp – Gather info from employee, assist in medical attention if needed, and record according to OSHA requirements.

Skills, Competencies, Education, Certification, and/or Licensure Requirements - 

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, HR certification, or equivalent experience in Human Resources with a minimum of 7 years.
• Previous corporate training or teaching experience. Corporate Training certification a plus.
• Have excellent working knowledge in modern technology to develop training modules needed in online platforms. Advanced proficiency with MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 
• Must be a dynamic public speaker.
• Must have passion for helping others achieve new levels personally and professionally.
• Mastery of learning management systems (LMSes), mobile learning apps, video editing and content authoring tool.
• Ability to teach adults new and traditional subjects in a helpful, engaging manner.
• Ability to organize coursework and training materials.
• Willingness to adapt teaching methods to accommodate individuals who may respond better to alternative approaches.
• Ability to assess employees’ willingness to learn and the skills and knowledge they’ve learned in training.
• Ability to research the most effective approaches to employee training.
• Superior communication skill required including the ability to professionally interact with all levels of the organization.
• Excellent written skill and knowledge of proper English usage, grammar, vocabulary, and spelling.
• Detail oriented and highly organized.
• Must exhibit organized, accurate and thorough work habits.
• Must be reliable, able to follow instructions, respond to directives and maintain confidentiality.
