Phillips Pet Food & Supplies is Hiring a Human Resources Business Partner (Onsite) Near West Sacramento, CA

Position Summary: Responsible for continued focus and refinement of Phillips’ culture, employee advocacy, and positive Associate relations while partnering with Leadership Teams across the organization. This position also requires a focus on HR initiatives with an emphasis on employee engagement & recognition, Associate relations and development, talent acquisition and onboarding, Associate retention and roundtables as well as day-to-day HR activities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Development and maintenance of our culture of inclusion and employee advocacy, aligned with our Values.Exercise Influence Leadership and collaboration skills with our leadership teams to address and resolve issues while mitigating risk.Support the locations’ Associates with our talent acquisition process, inclusive of assisting with conducting interviews, selecting candidates, and making hiring decisions. Ongoing location support with Associate onboarding, training & performance management. Additional focus on employee relations, compensation, and benefits. Serve as point of contact for employee questions, concerns and complaints. Addressing issues promptly and equitably. This includes conducting thorough investigations into complex employee issues, developing recommendations and implementing appropriate courses of resolution.Partner with our leadership teams to support Associate coaching & counseling, performance management and exit interviews.Partner with our leadership teams in each location to coordinate, collect feedback and follow through on employee round table/site assessment processes & discussions. Coordinate with leaders, to organize events and activities focused on recognition and workplace engagement to recognize and appreciate our Associates.Ensure all Federal, State and Local laws and regulations are upheld inclusive of UE claim processing, representing Phillips. Assist corporate HR with companywide training on policy and legal updates.Review Employee Corrective Action notices and advise leadership & HR Leadership on issues and concerns.Develop working knowledge of HRIS to support overall business needs.Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion, inclusive of employee data, performance coaching, strategic company information and FMLA/ADA/LOA/WC issues.
