PHI is Hiring a Technician, NDT Near Lafayette, LA

POSITION OVERVIEW

Under the general direction of the Lead NDT Tech, responsible for creating/updating procedures manuals, ordering material and equipment that is required for the NDT shop. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

Responsible for daily checks of:

  • Black light intensity in inspection room
  • Inspection area for cleanliness
  • Indicators and controls for serviceability
  • Dry developer for contamination
  • Emulsifier contamination
  • Black light intensity in magnaflux inspection area
  • Magnetic particle concentration
  • System effectiveness of magnaflux unit
  • Contamination of sump screen in magnaflux unit
  • Sensitivity of fluorescent penetrant tam panels
  • Penetrant Contamination

Responsible for weekly checks of:

  • Ambient white light in inspection room and in magnaflux inspection area
  • Emulsifier concentration
  • Density of aqueous developer
  • Bath contamination of magnetic particles

Responsible for monthly checks of:

  • Penetrant water tolerance
  • Removability of emulsifier

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant License or Repairman Certificate
  • Must be proficient with computer technology
  • Strong planning skills
  • Communication skills required
  • Level II NAS410 certified
