PHI is Hiring a Systems Administrator Near Lafayette, LA

POSITION OVERVIEW

Under the direct supervision of the Director of IT, conduct business process analysis and needs assessments in an effort to align information technology solutions with business initiatives. Manage the vendor relationships for our third party software solutions. The qualified candidate for the position is someone who has a can-do attitude and is an innovative thinker. Will work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. The ability to communicate effectively, as well as work closely and well with other team members are key components for success in this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Serve as an escalation point for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone or email.
  • Troubleshooting network, server, LAN/WAN, hardware, and software.
  • In-depth Active Directory administration for user changes or updates.
  • In-depth software/systems/server administration.
  • In-depth d Mobile device administration and management.
  • In-depth Software and hardware inventory accuracy.
  • In-depth Desktop and End-User support.
  • In-depth Office 365 Administration
  • In-depth Azure Administration
  • Ensure the accuracy and authenticity of the system backups and that they are performed in compliance with company policy.
  • Ability to work independently, evaluate priorities and respond in a challenging and dynamic environment.
  • Perform technical support to internal customers to ensure swift service restoration on a variety of systems and applications.
  • Identify, enforce, and suggest possible improvements on procedures, policies, and guidelines.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or Computer Science or an equivalent of 8 years of relevant experience in a similar role
  • 5 years' experience with system administration
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows Operating Systems (imaging, repair, installation, troubleshooting, upgrading).
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory.
  • In-depth experience with troubleshooting network, server, LAN/WAN, hardware, and software.
  • In-depth software/systems administration.
  • In-depth skill with mobile device administration and management.
  • In-depth Software and hardware inventory accuracy.
  • In-depth experience with Microsoft 365
  • In-depth knowledge of desktop hardware and common desktop software required for corporate environments.
  • Microsoft Azure experience required.
  • Experience creating technical documentation.
  • Experience testing and implementing new technologies.
  • Demonstrated patience and overall courteous behavior when working with internal and external customers.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to understand the customer's needs and communicate technical issues in non-technical terms.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently; must be self-motivated and goal oriented.
  • Superior organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and appropriately handle/escalate tasks with conflicting priorities.
  • Have a passion for teamwork and problem solving.
