RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform day-to-day purchasing activities including, but not limited to running MRP and creating purchase orders for raw material/parts to meet facilities production schedules.
- Determine appropriate order quantities based on demand and pricing.
- Review supplier purchase order confirmations to verify accuracy. Record expected delivery dates in ERP system.
- Expedite parts as needed to help production ensure customer deliveries are met.
- Identify delivery risks and inform appropriate personnel.
- Monitor open orders to ensure time schedules and deliveries are met.
- Work with engineering to identify alternative parts as needed.
- Responsible for ERP system master data integrity including Lead times, alternative parts, etc.
- Assist in reconciling procurement match errors for correct pricing and proper receipts.
- Track incoming freight costs from selected suppliers. Investigate any incoming freight cost discrepancies or errors.
- Issue Request for Quotes (RFQ) as needed. Negotiate pricing with suppliers.
- Reconcile and provide required receipts and backup for all procurement card transactions.
- Order other office supplies as needed.
- Follow up on selected weekly reports.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 3 years of purchasing/supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment or relevant field/position with preference for electronic component purchasing experience (Preferred)
- Organized and disciplined with time management skills.
- Strong computer skills
- Conscientious and responsible
- A keen eye for detail and a result driven approach
- Outstanding communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office
