Athletic facilities include a recently renovated 18-hole championship golf course, a junior Olympic heated swimming pool, splash pad, four outdoor tennis courts, four outdoor pickle ball courts and a fitness room.

The 6,645yard championship course winds through the beautiful Ellet Valley, surrounded by mountains, trees and the North Fork of the Roanoke River.

The clubhouse is a great place to gather after a round of golf or to relax among friends.

Blacksburg Country Club is home to the Lanto Championship, an AJGA tournament, and is also the founding home of the New Rever Valley Junior Golf Academy.

Experience Required

• PGA Class A member of PGA Associate Level III in good standing, preferred
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills will be required to interact with members on a regular basis
• Excellent business management, accounting, and computer skills
• Experience creating and implementing sales and marketing programs
• Proven record of developing, promoting, and expanding all golf activities
• Proven record of providing superior member service and staff training and development
• Strong work ethic
• This is a year-round position and will begin as soon as possible after the hiring process is completed

Essential Responsibilities

• Establish player assistance and customer service protocol and monitor compliance.
• Plan and schedule staffing assignments to meet business requirements.
• Accomplish all merchandise (hard / soft goods) purchases, displays, and inventory requirements in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Establish and achieve shop sales goals.
• Supervise, plan, coordinate, and direct all golfing events and activities as well as golf instruction.
• Prepare annual payroll, operations, revenue, and capital improvement budgets.
• Ensure accountability and maintenance of golf cart fleet in accordance with standards established by Blacksburg Country Club and manufacturer.
• Supervise the control of daily revenues, deposits, reports, and records in accordance with established procedures.
• Monitor safety programs and conduct safety training.
• Train golf operations staff members, conduct performance reviews, and accomplish all disciplinary actions for staff members assigned to golf shop operations.
