Overview

Summary: Effectively provides inventory control support to the warehouse by understanding product flows, maintaining accurate inventory levels, and giving feedback to leadership on inventory issues.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following. The Company reserves the right to add to, delete, change or modify the essential duties and responsibilities at any time. All work is to be completed with minimum supervision and in accordance with Company standards. Other duties may be assigned.

• Performs cycle counts in accordance with company guidelines and reconciles to the system on-hand quantities. This includes the company-mandated year end inventories.
• Conducts ad hoc inventory counts for (but not limited to) customer related issues, backordered items, receipt variances, repacking/production discrepancies, and transfer related issues and attempts to correct to system inventories with proper investigation.
• Adjusts all system inventory in relation to the count(s) that have been performed.
• Assists in tracking/reconciling of returned material (RMA) inventory, damaged inventory, lost/found inventory, expired/obsolete inventory, and production-related inventory.
• Provides feedback on sound inventory practices to warehouse leadership, in relation to the findings while performing inventory control functions.
• Builds quality into the operation by identifying areas of opportunity; this includes (but is not limited to) slotting/bin changes, inventory moves, item data updates, inventory configuration recommendations, and advisable advancements to operational processes that provide sound inventory control practices.
• Assists in preparing goods for packaging, warehousing and distribution as needed.
• Operates forklift, stock picker, hand truck, pallet and electric jack as needed.
• Maintains warehouse area in a clean, orderly and safe manner and reports any corrective or preventive maintenance issues; fire extinguisher checks.
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and/or safety procedures.
• Maintains a flexible work schedule to include irregular hours, weekend and holidays.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug.
• Interacts positively with customers in all segments of PetroChoice business.
• Will be required to act in a professional manner at all times.

Qualifications

COMPETENCY:

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

• Basic math skills including: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to read road maps.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:

Valid driver's license may be required based on facility, a CDL is a plus

LANGUAGE ABILITY:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups or managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATH ABILITY:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook. Experience working in an ERP environment is desirable. Proficiency in key boarding skills is a plus.
