What You'll Do:

  • Issue employee paychecks and statements of earnings and deductions.
  • Process payroll.
  • Compute wages and deductions, and enter data into computers.
  • Compile employee time, production, and payroll data from time sheets and other records.
  • Review time sheets, work charts, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
  • Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, and post information onto designated records.
  • Enter employee reimbursements, deductions, and terminations.
  • Record employee information, such as exemptions, transfers, and resignations, to maintain and update payroll records.
  • Issue and record adjustments to pay related to previous errors or retroactive increases.
  • Provide information to employees and managers on payroll matters, tax issues, benefit plans, and collective agreement provisions.
  • Escalate issues with leave time, such as vacation, personal, and sick leave, for employees.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for job costing.
  • Utilize Service Titan and iSolved software to process payroll and commissions accordingly.
  • Approve/Deny daily PTO requests in ISolved and ServiceTitan.

What You'll Need:

  • Education - Accounting-related associate's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Certifications - N/A
  • Professional Experience - 2-4 years of payroll processing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience, preferred
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Familiar with payroll software and payroll reports
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
    • Excellent listening, written, and oral communication, organizational, and time-management skills
    • Ability to appropriately handle confidential information and maintain confidence
