OVERVIEW:

At our Greencastle location, we are responsible for packing and shipping eggs to stores all over the United States.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Learn and understand the egg grading system.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled by your supervisor.
• Perform routine inspections of machinery and equipment to determine adjustments and repairs needed.
• Troubleshoot and repair down processing and building equipment.
• Support processing with changeover and product setup/startup.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and organization of all work areas.
• Knowledge in Wastewater Management a plus
• Ensure constant adherence with all company, state, and OSHA safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure strict adherence with SQF (Safe Quality Food) code and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines and standards.
• Immediately report all incidents or potential noncompliance regarding food quality, food safety, or human safety to your supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous industrial machine/mechanical experience is a plus.
• Vocational or technical school is a plus.
• Knowledge and experience with pneumatic systems.
• Basic understanding of electricity and electrical wiring.
• Ability to troubleshoot AC and DC electrical components.
• Understanding of Safety Data Sheets and proper chemical handling
• Ability to obtain fork truck certification.
• Experience handling power tools
• Experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing electro-mechanical equipment.
• Blueprint, sketch layout, wiring diagram, drawing, and other specification interpretation skills.
• Basic Microsoft/Word/ Excel knowledge.
• Knowledge of FGQ and GMPs preferred.
