Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame and procedures for accomplishing projects that are generally small in scope and/or routine.
Documents work plan and staffing for each phase of projects that generally small in scope and/or routine.
Confers with project staff to outline workplan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
Gathers requirements for projects.
Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
Coordinates project activities with activities of vendors and government agencies.
Confers with project personnel to identify and coordinate resolution of problems.
Prepares status reports for management or others, and modifies schedules or plans as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or similar.
1 year of experience as a Project Manager and/or project management and leadership skills for managing projects and the teams involved with them.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with team members and management and explain technical issues.
Analytical and problem-solving skills to handle any issues that occur during project completion.
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
Completed or is taking formal training in project management.
Knowledge of or willing to learn Microsoft Project and other project management software.
