Since 2002, Pet Resource Center of Kansas City has delivered accessible and affordable veterinary services and pet resources, and has developed a well-earned reputation for being a trusted resource for the Greater Kansas City community. For established veterinarians we offer manageable and direct caseloads, a great support team, and a great work-life balance. We are a low-cost, high volume, non-profit that works to keep animals out of shelters and helps owners find access to veterinary care they may otherwise be unable to afford.
Our clinic is broken down into six medical departments and each associate rotates between the departments each day. The breakdown and flow of each department are as follows:
Wellness:
Surgery check-in from 8-10a, appointments from 10-12p, lunch 12-1p, appointments from 1-3p
Must be able to vaccinate, draw blood for heartworm tests, quickly examine pets and keep appointments flowing in a timely manner
Goal is 80 appointments per day (minimum 40 am, 40 pm)
Surgery:
Spay/Neuter only
Must be able to complete 35-40 surgeries independently
Mobile:
Hours vary depending on location and services
Olathe: 9:30a-2:30p (Hours based on driving yourself to event)
Westlake: 9:30am-2:30pm (Hours based on driving yourself to event)
Curbside: 9:30am until done, goal is 3:00pm
Sit-N-Serve: 9:30am-2:30pm (Hours based on driving yourself to location)
Urgent Care:
Must be able to quickly and efficiently triage, examine, create and initiate medical plans and complete medical notes on 20-30 pets per day
Visits range from skin infections and diarrhea to trauma and intestinal foreign bodies
Dentals/Procedures:
Must be able to efficiently perform 3-4 dental procedures per day with extractions and evaluate dental radiographs
Must be able to complete heartworm treatment injections
Ideal for other surgical experience (mass removals, cherry eyes, spay/neuter, entropion, other)
Pet Resource Center uses IDEXX in house and reference laboratories as well as ultrasound, digital dental and whole body x-rays. We pride ourselves on staying as up to date as possible on medical procedures and diagnostic testing.
We are offering:
Full time positions starts at $100K in salary pending experience with a $5,000 sign-on bonus

Monday-Friday, occasional Saturday schedule, 7:45a - 4:30p. No on call shifts with 4-day work weeks as an option.
