The Veterinary Technician Manager is a leader and is integral to the Per ET, Columbia veterinary hospital management team. The Veterinary Technician Manager partners with the management team and the Hospital Director to provide a smooth and profitable operation by creating a hospital culture based on high quality emergency patient care and exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include managing, planning, and coordinating the hospital's overall operations and cultivating a supportive and collaborative team environment. A Veterinary Technician Manager leads by example and exemplifies caring, compassionate, dedicated behavior and speech.

Duties Include:

• Scheduling & payroll
• Conducting staff meeting, corrective actions and process improvement plans
• Supervising the Inventory Assistant Manager, Cubex, & Vetcove
• Executing doctor and employee requests
• Overseeing training programs for surgery, shirt leads, leads and overall staff
• Hiring, onboarding, new hire orientation, termination and offboarding
• Conducting monthly 1-on-1's, 90 day and annual performance reviews
• Assisting on the treatment floor, training staff, mentoring staff growth, ensuring high standard of care is provided to our patients and clients
• Addressing client Concerns/Complaints
• Creating and Implementing Hospital SOPs/Policies/Procedures
• Teambuilding and Activities to boost moral

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in the veterinary role, including customer service experience.
• Licensed veterinary technician prefered but not required.
• Experienced in a hospital setting in positions of increased responsibility is a plus.

• Multi-functional operations, including budget and labor management
• manage time and tasks appropriately and remain flexible with assigned duties
