We are seeking a highly motivated, compassionate, outgoing, and professional veterinary receptionist to join our growing team. Pet Doctors of America shares staffing between our two locations in Jacksonville, Florida (14471 Beach Blvd and 1103 3rd St South). Qualified applicants will be extremely detail oriented and have excellent people skills, experience in customer service and reception work, a mature, professional, hard-working personality, and a positive, 'can-do' attitude to bring to our team environment.
The veterinary receptionist is the client's first contact when calling or visiting our practice and as such represents the professional image of our practice to callers and visitors. He/She answers telephones and emails, greets clients, prepares patient files, receives and relays client correspondence, updates client financial records and processes client invoices. The desired candidate has the ability to diffuse negative client situations and foster client bonding while working to maintain a positive team environment within the hospital.
Position Overview:
The Receptionist supports and adds value to an efficient organization dedicated to quality care and exceptional service. You will perform a variety of clerical and customer service work in providing support to the hospital, and to clients during often high stress situations.

Pet Doctors of America offers competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package, including: medical/dental/vision paid vacation/sick days (for F/T employees only), 401 (k), paid uniforms, and generous employee pet care discounts.
Schedules are full time, 35-40 hours a week. We are open M-F 7am-7pm, Sat 8am-5pm, and Sun 9am-5pm. After training is complete, schedules are set for several months at a time.
