Perstorp Polyols is Hiring a Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager Near Toledo, OH

Job Summary: The Continuous Improvement Manager will lead and advise on the continuous improvement journey.
Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. with some flexibility to have alternative work hours/schedule. 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
  • Establish and improve a strategy for continuous improvement capability on-site (Toledo).
  • Create a common and systematic working process for continuous improvement - transformation from a non-process driven organization to a process-based.
  • Subject matter expert around change and improvement on site.
  • Coach the team to work systematically.
  • Improvement of working processes based on data and facts.
  • Make sure the team fulfills the site target.
  • Initiate corrective actions if the team deviates from the site target.
  • Create operation plan for CI area and manage CI pipeline.
  • Contribute to site targets as well as align improvement work towards site targets.
  • Link in globally to ensure alignment between global and local processes.
  • Lead work regarding DVC and capacity budget on site.
  • Reporting on actual production and consumption figures for operation and follow-up regarding DVC and capacity performance.
  • SAP Key User in P2P workstream.
  • Lead business analysis.
  • Deliver complex business change projects.
  • Deliver/enable improvements to support the growth and profitability targets of the business.
  • Accountable for the PMD review process for all continuous improvement personnel.
  • Resource liability according to the organization chart.
  • Coach, mentor, and train at all levels in the organization.
  • Lead and prioritize work within the group.
  • Initiate improvement work.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering or related field required.
Experience (> 5 years) within a manufacturing/technical role to understand local processes required.SAP experience required.
Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
Expert in change management / change leadership.
Mentor & coach.
Data Analysis (including statistical analysis) and data extraction and manipulation.
Business analysis and project design.
Minitab experience.
A self-starter who can identify improvements opportunities, prioritize, and work independently.
Demonstrated leadership skills - inspire others and be a positive influence and lead by example.
Knowledge of chemical hazards and environmental/fire hazards of raw materials, production, and finished products.

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
Work Environment:
Primarily requires working indoors in a general office with environmentally controlled conditions.
Occasional exposure to manufacturing environment including elements such as odor/unpleasant smells, loud noises, dirt, dust, vibrations, heat, cold or chemicals.
Routinely uses office equipment such as computers, phones, scanners, and other typical office equipment. Requires use of electronic mail and ERP systems.
Routinely in contact with others (face to face, by telephone, computer or otherwise).
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform in an active office environment, including the ability to complete paperwork, work on a computer, handle filing and office equipment and change activities frequently. 
Prolonged periods of sitting/standing at a desk and working on a computer.
Required to use hands to finger, sit, stand, and walk and occasionally bend, stoop, kneel or crouch, climb or balance and maneuver stairs, ladders, and machinery.
Ability to work at heights.
Mobility is required to access all areas on-site and navigate/operate in close quarters, small rooms, narrow aisles, and passageways.
Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds at times repetitively.
Ability to use all channels of communication (i.e., read/write/speak/hear).
Vision sufficient to perform above-described tasks with or without correction.
Comply and pass site regulations for PPE and clearances (i.e.: annual physical, Respirator Fit Test, FRC clothing, etc.).
Authority:
Financial authority according to Perstorp rules.
Acting in accordance with the corporate values Responsibility, Reliability, Focused Innovation, and Care.
Providing immediate and constructive feedback to relevant stakeholders if behavior and/or conditions are unsafe and, if necessary, using the Golden Rule to stop work.
Full decision-making authority within the context of budget and priorities agreed with the manager.
