Persons Services Corp. is Hiring an Accounting Specialist Near Mobile, AL
Persons Services is looking for a highly detailed Accounting Specialist with experience working in the construction industry. This is a critical role supporting a busy, fast-paced construction company that is experiencing significant growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and excellent customer service skills.
- Review and process subcontractor, supplier, and vendor invoices; verify invoices with corresponding subcontracts and change orders
- Reconcile monthly vendor statements or invoices, research and correct discrepancies
- Process accounts receivable
- Maintain certificates of insurance, W9, and 1099 information for all vendors
- Request and collect lien releases from vendors. Subcontractors, and sub-tiers
- Minimum of 3 years experience as an accounting clerk in the construction industry
- Must be extremely detail oriented, with the ability to process a high volume of AP and AR work
- A positive attitude with strong customer service skills
- Experience working in ComputerEase highly desired
- Extensive knowledge of MS Office products, with the ability to create and maintain spreadsheets in Excel
- Proficient in data entry and data management
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
- Able to multi-task and prioritize while working with competing priorities and deadlines
