Position Overview
-
On call 24/7 to provide emotional support as needed for crisis situations and assist with de-escalation, both in person and via phone.

Provide 1:1 and group support as needed for people supported across all programs.

Work in collaboration with the clinical team to ensure proper development and oversight of Behavior Support Plans (BSPs).

Assist with workshops and training on a variety of different topics inclusive of self-advocacy, self-care, positive relationships, healthy habits, etc. for programs as needed.

Conduct observations as needed for those requiring additional clinical support.

Assist with assessments and planning for people supported through all programs.

Provide clinical support to all programs in accordance with regulations.

All other assignments deemed necessary by supervisor.
Job Skills
- Collaboration: Ensure people supported and staff have the tools and support needed to enjoy safe and meaningful experiences within the community. Utilizes strategies to understand human behavior and the social environment, and critically evaluate and apply this knowledge to effective interventions.
- Interpersonal Skills: Notices and interprets what others are feeling, based on their choice of words, tone of voice, expressions, and other nonverbal behavior.
- Communication: Handling incoming correspondence from people supported and PCCS employees in a timely and professional manner. Ability to convey information verbally and in writing to foster, encourage and facilitate open communication.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience working directly with people with developmental disabilities in a direct service position, required.Educational Qualification: High School Diploma or equivalent.
On Call Flexible availability including on call 27/7 including varied hours (nights and weekends), in person and remote.
Drivers Status- Valid Driver’s License, required.Physical Demands: The nature of tasks may vary based on the individuals being supported. This may include assisting with toileting and hygiene, which could involve lifting. Reasonable accommodations will be considered to enable individuals with disabilities to fulfill essential job functions.
