JOB SUMMARY:

Persolve Legal Group, LLP, a multi-state creditors' rights firm, is seeking a results-driven associate attorney with 0-5 years of experience for its Associate Attorney role. Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate (1) strong analytical skills, (2) outstanding legal writing ability, (3) willingness to work in a team environment, (4) a desire to learn from experienced practitioners to develop depth in consumer finance and creditors' rights law, and (5) initiative and ability as a self-starter. The Associate Attorney will work under the supervision of the firm's Managing Attorney to develop and institute policies to keep the firm and its clients compliant with all applicable state and federal laws including, but not limited to: consumer protection, credit reporting, and debt collection. This is an excellent opportunity to grow with the firm and to gain experience with legal compliance and litigation.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Partner with the Managing Attorney and other compliance team members to promote regulatory compliance with respect to all relevant debt collection laws
• Monitor laws and regulations that apply to the firm and its clients
• Evaluate impacts of emerging compliance regulations, communicate new requirements to stakeholders within the firm and with the firm's clients, and assist in developing legal strategies to assist client objectives
• Produce clear and concise written legal analysis in response to regulatory complaints
• Communicate directly with clients, credit reporting agencies, and regulatory bodies regarding potential and ongoing disputes, complaints, and other compliance-related matters

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Qualified attorney with no disciplinary history and active bar license (WI preferred)
• Superior time management skills and an ability to effectively manage priorities to meet business requirements and deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills among a spectrum of attorney and non-attorney recipients including all levels within the organization and with firm clients
• Possess strong multitasking skills, and be able to oversee various simultaneous projects with differing time frames and workload requirements
• Problem-solving skills and a can-do approach to issues
• Ability to collaborate with staff, attorneys, and clients on a wide range of topics

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Prior creditors' rights experience
• Familiarity with FDCPA, FCRA, TILA/Reg Z, UDAAP, TCPA, and SCRA

This position is located in Brookfield, WI. This is a full-time, salaried position with a benefit package that includes medical, vision, and dental insurance, an aggressive PTO plan, and a managed 401K. Pay is commensurate with experience.
