A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PART-TIME CAFE LINE COOK

As a part time Cafe Line Cook, you are vital to the operations of our restaurant. You fulfill all our orders according to the recipes and instructions. Alongside the rest of the kitchen staff, you use various cooking methods to prepare each menu item accurately. Through your training, you're able to work at any station in our kitchen. You ensure that food comes simultaneously and in a timely fashion.

Always attentive to detail, you perform portion control and minimize waste. You ensure that each ingredient and product we use is fresh and of high quality. Additionally, as you work you maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage. You love making delicious food each day and take pride in always meeting our quality and cleanliness standards!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CAFE LINE COOK

• High school diploma OR equivalent
• Experience cooking from scratch in a fast-paced restaurant
• Current Texas food handler certification
• 18 years of age
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing throughout the shift and lifting up to 35 pounds
• Weekend days are a must, Saturday and/or Sunday
