The role: We are looking to hire a Senior Director of Finance to partner and support the growth of our diversified portfolio.
This visionary leader will oversee the activity of the corporate finance and accounting teams while collaborating with senior management in developing and executing the organizational strategies.
This person possesses excellent financial planning skills and can provide expert leadership and guidance in the development, evaluation, and execution of short and long-term strategic objectives.
Essential Functions: •Provide strategic leadership, develop, and execute short- and long-term objectives.
•Lead the financial operations and controls of subsidiary companies.
•Integrate financial planning with organizations strategic direction.
•Administer banking activities and relationships.
•Prepare monthly financial statements, financial packages, and other informational reports/analysis. Review financial results and discuss changes to address needs and trends.
•Develop and monitor policies and procedures within generally accepted accounting principles and corporate guidelines.
•Establish and reinforce a system of effective accounting and operational controls and conduct internal audits.
•Ensure underlying accounting records are accurate, complete in accordance with USGAAP and record keeping complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.
•Ensure effective cash flow management.
•Support the acquisitions team during due diligence and negotiations of acquisition and disposition.
Qualifications Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or business administration.
Joint venture accounting experience
CPA certification required. Five to ten (5-10) years of previous commercial real estate, property management, and/or related industry experience.
Knowledge of all financial legislation.
Above asset level accounting experience
Audit experience
