Job Description

Performance Contracting is seeking a motivated Project Assistant for its Sacramento operations based in North Highlands, California. This individual will:

    Input project information into Excel and Bluebeam.
  • Create and manage punch lists.
  • Assist with the preparation of RFI's and submittals.
  • Assist with managing labor control on the project.
  • Assist in preparation of quantity take-offs for material ordering.
  • Maintain accurate and timely project documentation and correspondence.
  • Track and cost-value material handling.

Pay range: $20-$25

This position is safety-sensitive.

Requirements

Basic Requirements:

  • At least 1 year professional work experience as a Project Assistant, Project Manager, or similar.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or related discipline, or comparable work experience.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Demonstrates strong work ethic through previous internships or work experience
  • Displays proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • A clear understanding of how to read and understand specifications and drawings
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Possesses organizational skills
  • Willingness to take initiative
  • Exhibits strong customer service skills and an ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Track record of meeting project deadlines
  • Ability to learn new job skills by engaging in the technical aspects of the job and applying new skills as they are taught

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience or knowledge within the consctruction industry
  • Experience with invoicing/accounting functions is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Box and Bluebeam preferred
  • Local to the Sacramento area
