Sales Representative

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Position

We are currently recruiting a Sales Representative to manage new accounts including the development of project bids (quotes), account prospecting, project timelines, assigning necessary installers, and scheduling installation.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for national account projects, new construction, and retrofit projects including the development of project bids (quotes), negotiation of installation rates, preparation of purchase orders, approval of costs, and invoicing.
  • Coordinate and schedule installations with installers and customers.
  • Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
  • Work collectively with a team to support labor and schedule changes.
  • Initiates and monitors multiple projects at once including budgets, schedules, as well as negotiates change orders, and manages varied project specific deliverables.
  • Display aptitude for deciphering building plans & specifications. Performs detailed takeoffs including scaling drawings, negotiates product substitutions where required.
  • Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Grow, manage, and maximize sales.
  • Order materials needed for projects.
  • Experience in the overhead door or construction industry is required.
  • Provides expertise within the overhead door space to guide and consult with general contractor and/or end users in the proper application and use of garage door products.
  • Ensures that the project(s) meets contractual deadlines and executes required compliance documents as called out in contract agreement.
  • Responsible for negotiating and contracting field installation activities. Validates performance and quality of work scope.
  • Responsible for making prudent judgment calls to resolve project related issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make changes on the fly.
  • Determination and patience to handle demanding contractors.
  • Positive leadership skills that can manage and direct workers.
  • Delivers remarkable customer experiences.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years sales experience in the building products industry, or overhead door/opener trades.
  • Ability to develop strong external and internal relationships with customers and coworkers.
  • Creative problem-solving skills; strong analytical skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changes; ability to go the extra mile to bring success to the customer.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and computer / software skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency when responding to customer inquiries or questions.
  • General understanding of the construction industry and the associated processes and procedures
  • Experience in the overhead door and building industry.
  • Established customer base and contact list preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $54,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
