LOGIN Dishwasher Peregrine Salisbury DESCRIPTION **POSITION SUMMARY:**

Responsible for maintaining the kitchen and dining areas in a clean and orderly condition. Washes, cleans, sanitizes, and stores all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and other equipment used to operate the kitchen and dining room areas. Cleans floors, equipment and other areas as assigned.

**QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:**

High School diploma or equivalent certification preferred. Minimum of 1 year working in the food service industry preferred. Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.

**RESPONSIBILITIES:**

Provide a high level of customer service and promote a restaurant style dining atmosphere. Work closely with the Dining Director to keep residents satisfied with the communitys food and dining programs. Maintain kitchen in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition always. Strictly adhere to PSL procedures regarding infection control, food-borne illness prevention, harmful chemical handling, fire, safety, and sanitation, promptly reporting any transgression to supervisor. Wash and store all dishes and equipment in accordance with PSL policy and procedures. Maintain dish room area in a neat, clean, and sanitary manner. Keep kitchen floors clean (sweeps and mops) and trash emptied. Assist with the preparation and execution of the Art of Atria Dining enhancement programs. Maintain dish machine after each meal by thoroughly cleaning and maintaining sanitizing temperatures and parts per manufacturers recommendations and PSL policies and procedures. Adhere to cleaning schedules as assigned. Assist with the transportation and storage of food and supplies. Assist cooks and wait staff as requested. Adhere to Quality assurance standards and standard food safety practices. Report all incidents, accidents, unsafe, hazardous conditions, and equipment immediately to a supervisor. Assist with preparation and execution of special events, banquets, and theme meals. Ensures that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals needs and rights. Attend all required in-service trainings. Performs all other duties as needed or requested by supervisor.

**LEADERSHIP:**

Take initiative to ensure resident safety and satisfaction is a priority. Meet and greet visitors in a friendly, helpful manner (visitors include anyone who visits the community; specifically, current residents families and friends, prospective residents and their families, referral sources, vendors, and regulators). Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding residents, staff, and the community. Maintain flexible work schedule to be available to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Follow The Peregrine Way and Peregrine Senior Living policies and procedures.

**PHYSICAL/SENSORY REQUIRMENTS:**

Ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Additional physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, bending, twisting and generally all movement associated with Dishwashing. Must be in full compliance with all regulatory required vaccinations (including COVID19, MMR, etc).
