Job Description:
Percheron is seeking a talented Project Manager to support our Environmental Department across the US. Percheron provides flexibility to work remotely.
Percheron Environmental specializing in natural and cultural resource serving the public and private sectors in conducting resource surveys to support obtaining permits and clearances from environmental resource and government agencies. We support overall environmental compliance during construction and following in‐service.
This position involves proposing on, developing, and managing projects of all types and sizes from start to completion as well as marketing and business development responsibilities.

  • Maintain knowledge of relevant environmental regulations include Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, National Environmental Policy Act.
  • Oversee and participate in all aspects projects, including proposal development and contracting, staff management, fieldwork, and deliverables, bringing projects in on schedule and within budget.
  • Oversee processing of post-‐field data, and overseeing development of map figures, data tables, and illustrations for technical reports.
  • Serve as lead author on technical reports, management plans, and other technical documents.
  • Effectively and efficiently manage field, office and administrative staff to complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Assist with marketing and accomplishment of business development goals.
  • Foster and maintain good working relationships with state and federal agency staff, private sector clients, and other industry professionals.
  • Assist with recruiting, training and mentoring staff.
  • Other duties as assigned or required

Job Requirements:

  • A Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Geology, Environmental Planning or other science related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of technical experience with a minimum of one (1) year in increasing levels of responsibility in management duties including supervising and providing leadership for other professionals required.
  • Demonstrated business development success and consulting acumen, including substantial established credibility with federal and state reviewing agencies and clients, as well as success in proposal writing.
  • Demonstrated expertise in environmental federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience with federal agencies such as U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Environmental Protection Agency
  • Working knowledge of energy markets including oil & gas, energy generation (wind/solar) and transmission markets preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects and programs, in diverse settings and with changing requirements.
  • Familiarity with GPS devices and digital data collection.
  • Team-‐orientated attitude with strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Current valid Driver’s License required.
  • Ability to work autonomously and to collaborate fully as a team player, functioning as an effective, self-‐motivated, and highly capable individual.
  • Ability to pay close attention to details, and present good planning, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily.
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance as per work schedule agreed with manager (may require working an adjusted work schedule based on project assigned and work overtime if warranted).
  • Ability to comply with applicable laws and regulations and Company policies and procedures
