Peraton is Hiring a Senior Technical Project Manager Near San Diego, CA

Responsibilities

We are searching for a talented Program Manager to become part of Peraton’s Citizens Security & Public Services, State and Local West, County of San Diego Account. This position will require that the candidate be local to the San Diego, CA area.Day to Day Work Responsibilities:The Program Manager will be responsible for the following, but not limited to:

  • Act as the primary liaison between the customer and Account Executive, ensuring seamless communication.
  • Collaborate closely with client leadership and technical leads to oversee the delivery of contractor services.
  • Serve as the initial point of escalation for project-related matters.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the customer's business processes and services. Qualifications / Skills:
  • Proficient in stakeholder management, maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Facilitate IT service delivery by coordinating with the technical team on communication and deliverables.
  • Manage on-site technical support resources effectively.
  • Review and approve monthly invoices.
  • Maintain a master schedule encompassing ongoing and upcoming projects, resolving scheduling conflicts and providing weekly reports to the client.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and vendors on project scope, resource allocation, budget analysis, and schedules aligned with the master program schedule.
  • Control program and project budgets and costs.
  • Prepare and develop proposals/estimates.
  • Gather and document requirements, including use cases, business rules, and user stories.
  • Review and enhance processes as necessary.
  • Manage contracts, working with client leadership and contractor contracts manager to facilitate any required changes.
  • Engage in strategic planning by leading executive sessions to identify, prioritize, and define business strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 12 years of experience.
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Proficient in program and project management methodologies.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using MS Project for project planning and scheduling.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies or certification in Agile project management.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale programs or projects.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively motivate and guide teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in risk management and mitigation strategies.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard project management tools and techniques.
  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
  • Experience with budget management and financial reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is preferred.
  • MBA

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
