Peraton is Hiring a Quality Assurance Analyst Near Arlington, VA

Responsibilities

Qualified candidate will become part of Peraton’s Department of State (DoS) Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission (DSCM) program providing leading cyber and technology security experience to enable innovative, effective, and secure business processes. Peraton’s DSCM program encompasses technical, engineering, data analytics, cyber security, management, operational, logistical, and administrative support to aid and advise DoS Cyber & Technology Security (CTS) Directorate. This includes protecting a global cyber infrastructure comprising networks, systems, information, and mobile devices all while identifying and responding to cyber risks and threats. Those supporting Peraton’s DSCM program strive to leverage their expert knowledge and propose creative solutions to real-world cybersecurity challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports program and project managers and respective teams to implement a comprehensive quality assurance and service management program for the DSCM program, ensuring compliance with established standards, organizational processes and procedures, and best practices.
  • Performs process and product evaluations (audits) to ensure compliance with DMI and project established policies, processes, procedures, and applicable standards (ISO, CMMI-DEV, CMMI-SVC, ITIL, PMBoK).
  • Must have experience and been directly involved in implementing the following frameworks: ISO 20000 and 27001, ISO 9001:2008, CMMI-DEV/CMMI-SVC Level 3, and ITIL.
  • Evaluates service performance and deliverables against process documentation, project schedule, and quality standards.
  • Performs a variety of technical and administrative activities related to the function of QA (auditing), including, but not limited to, scheduling, checklist development, report writing, facilitating root cause/lessons learned analysis, and internal/external presentations.
  • Analyzes, compiles, and reports on findings of non-compliance and provides recommendations for improvement. Tracks and escalates unresolved non-compliance issues and corrective and preventative action plans to closure. Supports the identification, implementation, and tracking of continuous improvements. 
  • Collects metrics, analyzes, and reports various measures to project manager/team and Corporate QA. Establishes and manages Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to measure and report on the quality of service delivery, performance of the program, and contract deliverables, meets or exceeds customer expectations across all offices. 
  • Maintains the process assets library for the program, including all process definitions, templates, and document samples.
  • Provides training for DSCM employees for CMMI, ISO, and ITIL frameworks as well as project management best practices. Recommend methods for improving product and process quality. Interfaces with external and internal customers to ensure project quality work products have been provided.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to facilitate implementation and support of site-specific playbooks and standard operating procedures; periodically reviews playbooks and SOPs for implementation, completeness and staff familiarity.
  • Review and track all contract deliverables through development, submission and customer acceptance; ensure all comments generated during reviews are addressed. Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to align on quality expectations and drive continuous improvement in service delivery. 

  • Tracks and ensures program compliance with contract labor conformance requirements to include workforce qualification and certifications.

  • Leads the Program Risk and Opportunity Management process.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize quality improvement initiatives and drive their implementation.
  • Prepares and presents quality reports and performance metrics to senior management and the client, highlighting achievements, areas for improvement, and future goals.

  • Teaches and mentors program project managers, task managers and Team Peraton staff.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications- To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

  • Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, engineering); Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD
  • U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain an interim Secret clearance before start date and able to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
  • Required Certifications: ITIL v4 Foundation; Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
  • Proven experience in quality management, preferably in a technology operations or IT services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management and service management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Experience establishing and managing Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and related metrics.
  • Familiarity with quality management frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 20000, ISO 27001, ITIL).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive data-driven decision-making and process improvement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with ITIL, Lean Management, Agile, or Lean/Six Sigma principles.
  • Experience supporting federal customers or working in a government contracting environment is desired but not mandatory.

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
