Assistant Security Coordinator $24 / Hr - Cottage Grove, WI

Per Mar has an immediate need for an experienced security, law enforcement or military professional to assist administratively with oversite of an existing security team operating our clients Physical Security Operations Center (PSOC).

The primary purpose of this position is to provide supervisory and administrative support to our security program operating from several PSOC locations in WI.

PSOC operations assist with monitoring client facilities throughout Wisconsin, remote monitoring of critical infrastructure via CCTV, various access control systems as well as alarm monitoring.

PSOC staff oversee access control as well as activate / deactivate access, provide intelligence gathering, threat assessments, physical security site surveys, risk assessments, incident reporting, notifying and interacting with local, state and federal agencies and more.

Schedule : Full Time, Mon Fri, First Shift, $24 / HR

In this role, you will :

• Assist with the oversite of Client PSOC operations and Per Mar staff
• Assist with scheduling Security Officers at assigned account.
• Assist with the preparation and communication of post orders for the assigned site.
• Assist with interviewing prospective employees for assigned accounts.
• Act as liaison between assigned client, Per Mar Site Supervisor and the branch office.
• Assist with the resolution of client issues and complaints.
• Assist with training of all new Security Officers at assigned account.
• Maintain, review and distribute required reports and records.
• Wear and maintain appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as outlined for the position and follow all PPE policies and procedures.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by interacting with the Per Mar Security Services internal / external customers (including, but not limited to : current customers, prospective customers, clients, vendors, co-workers, supervisors and management) in a mutually respectful manner regardless of race, colour, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation and all other protected classes.

What you’ll need :

• High School Diploma or G.E.D
• One year or more previous supervisory and / or security / military / law enforcement experience and / or training
• A valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Must be able to obtain specified licenses / certifications to perform work in the security industry according to the rules and regulations prescribed by the State in which the branch operates.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills with demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel.

Internet skills required.

• Must have experience in writing reports and correspondence.
• Experience utilizing remote monitoring technology and CCTV a plus.
• Experience utilizing access control systems a plus.
• Must be able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
• Must be able to effectively work with people at all levels of the organization internally and externally.
• Must be able to physically perform all Security Officer duties on all shifts and the site(s) supervised.
