Responsibilities: Patrol is considered to be a primary law enforcement function and embraces much more than the act of uniformed officers making regular and reported rounds while inspecting and guarding the village/town. Patrol is a generalized police function in which officers engage in a wide variety of law enforcement, public safety and public order maintenance activities. Officers shall be responsible for the following major activities: Preventive Patrol, Response to call for service, Crime Prevention, Investigation of offenses, Traffic accident investigation, Traffic Enforcement Maintenance of public order, Enforce Village/Town ordinance and Wisconsin State Statues criminal and traffic laws.
Education Requirements: High school diploma, 60 college credits/ Associate’s degree
Certification:
Elgibility for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification
