JOB TITLE: Estimator
JOB SUMMARY
Peotter's Auto Body and Spa is a high-end vehicle repair facility seeking an experienced Auto Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive collision damage estimating and be knowledgeable in insurance procedures and requirements. We are fast-paced and engaging. We are one of New Jersey’s Top Repair Facilities in the state. We have certifications in, Tesla, Lucid, Rivian, Land Rover & Jaguar.
The Estimator will be responsible for assessing and estimating repair costs for vehicles brought in for repair, and ensuring that all work meets the highest standards of quality and safety. The successful candidate will have experience using CCC One estimating and management software.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Estimator of Peotter’s Auto Body and Spa is an employee whose day to day will focus on:
  • Assess and estimate the cost of repairs for all vehicles brought in for service, using CCC One estimating and management software.
  • Coordinate with the repair team to ensure that all work is carried out to the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing detailed and accurate estimates of repair costs and timelines.
  • Manage and track the progress of all repairs, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Maintain detailed records of all estimates and repair work, and ensure that all necessary documentation is completed accurately and on time.
  • Stay up-to-date with OEM position statements and repair procedures for luxury vehicles.
  • Maintain excellent verbal and written communication skills to negotiate with insurance companies.
  • Proficient with computers and technology to generate reports and keep records.
  • Excellent time management skills to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
  •  Knowledgeable in repairs for electric and luxury vehicles.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team player to achieve company goals.

  • On-time completion of repairs.
  • Quality of repair work.
  • Efficiency of repair process.
  • Adherence to safety and compliance standards.
  • Timeliness and accuracy of documentation and record-keeping.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  • At least two years of experience as an auto estimator.
  • Detail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Experience using CCC One estimating and management software.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast- paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Commitment to safety and compliance standards.
  • Customer satisfaction ratings and feedback.
  • Valid drivers license.
  •  Certificate or degree in automotive collision repair.
  • I-CAR Professional Development Program Level 1 or higher.
  • ASE certification B6- Damage Analysis & Estimating.
The working conditions for this position include:
  •  Work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, dry/arid conditions.
  •  Exposure to temperature changes, noise, fumes and mechanical, chemical, or electrical hazards.
  • Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
  • May occasionally walk on slippery or uneven surfaces.
  • Will work on elevated surfaces on an occasional basis.
  • Nosie level in the work environment is frequently loud.
