DUTIES: Under the supervision of the Assistant Golf Course Manager, the Truck/Tractor Operator Madison Golf Course is responsible for:

• Operating and maintaining trucks and other machinery that are assigned to this department.
• Mowing of grass in the parks and on the golf courses as required.
• Plowing and removing snow.
• Following all safety procedures that pertain to the duties performed.
• Supporting all aspects of the Park District’s safety program.
• Performing other related duties as assigned.

Education High School diploma or equivalent required.

Experience Minimum of two years in operating tractors, trucks, mowing equipment and other machinery used in groundmaintenance. Must hold a valid class CDL drivers license. Teamster membership is required.

Knowledge and Ability

• Thorough knowledge of work involved ingrounds and building maintenance.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Work harmoniously with Park District personnel and the using public.
• Ability to be professional, respectful, accountable, innovative, tofollow safety procedures, and be equitable to both internal andexternal customers.
• Personal Ability to work independently; work record that shows good health and dependability. Neat appearance, pleasing personality and courteous manner.
