Responsibilities

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Level III Dev/Sec/Ops & Cloud Engineer to support our Arlington, VA location.

• Demonstrate initiative and be a self-starter, able to work in a highly collaborative, virtual, and versatile environment handling an array of duties and responsibilities with particular focus on the infrastructure to support large software team development and delivery, and multi-tasking abilities
• Provide subject matter expertise to support Dev/Sec/Ops throughout the entire software development lifecycle. Understand security requirements of various government instances. Create CI/CD pipelines and automated tests that can continuously to ensure that security is inclusive throughout the cycle and that delivered software meets program objectives.
• Lead in the design, architecture, and creation of cloud infrastructure, including the use of infrastructure as code.
• Support in the management and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, including the allocation, monitoring, and security of existing resources.
• Support in the management of information and risks related to the use, processing, storage, and transmission of information or data and the systems and processes used for those purposes.
• Support in information systems security officer / manager (ISSO / ISSM) activities in obtaining / maintaining systems security posture and authority to operate (ATO).
• Assist in the management and administration of the network, performance, and maintaining network security. This could include managing and administering the total DCO infrastructure, platforms, systems, applications/tools, performance, and maintenance over system security
• Create, maintain, and organize the division knowledge management and documentation system to ensure effective information communication, processes, and transparency

Qualifications

Desired Skills/Experience:

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to proactively engage members both inside and outside of your team
• Experience working with project management applications, like Gitlab or Jira, is preferred, experience with Gitlab is strongly preferred.
• Great technical writing skills
• Knowledge of the Agile development process
• Experience working on large software development programs. Experience is working with multi-organizational programs is preferred.
• Experience working within agile frameworks, such as Scaled Agile Framework.
• Experience working within high technology areas, such as computer science, data science, autonomy, and artificial intelligence
• Experience working with DevSecOps, infrastructure as code, and/or infrastructure monitoring software
• Experience with CI/CD, cloud compute, and software development pipelines
• Experience with USG Cybersecurity processes and controls (ex. Cyber Risk Management Framework) and implementing them on CI/CD, cloud compute, and software development pipelines
• Experience with programming and scripting with languages like Python, Perl, Bash, PHP, Java, SQL or C .
• Travel: As designated; May include deployemnt to Hazardous duty areas.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelors degree preferred with 4-7 years of experience
