PeopleTec is currently seeking a Jr. Cybersecurity Analyst to support our Huntsville, AL location.

PeopleTec is currently seeking an entry level Jr. Cybersecurity Analyst to assist in managing the IT infrastructure of our aviation Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) facility. The ideal candidate must be familiar with Army processes, VMware, Windows, Active Directory, and networking technologies system administration.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience:

• Entry level position with 0-2 years of experience with networks and network engineering or system administration in Windows and/or Linux environments.
• Collaborate with other IT staff members to provide technical support to end-users and resolve technical issues.
• Monitor and troubleshoot systems, network, and software issues, and perform regular maintenance and upgrades as needed. 
• Maintain technical documentation, including system configurations, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
• Work with other IT teams to ensure the smooth operation of our infrastructure & systems. 
• Support other assigned duties related to managing a research and development (R&D) test lab.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Travel: 10%
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements/Experience:

• Highschool Diploma (or equivalent)
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security or equivalent) or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Desired Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. 
• Experience with HWIL facilities, labs, and/or aviation testing environments.
• Familiarity with tools for intrusion detection, anti-virus, anti-malware, and cybersecurity software.
• Ability to understand or write simple scripts in languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate tasks and handle basic security operations.
• Awareness of potential security threats and vulnerabilities, and the methods commonly used to exploit these vulnerabilities.
• Knowledge of how to detect, respond to, and recover from security incidents and breaches.
• Ability to analyze problems, think critically, and come up with effective solutions.
• Ability to document incidents, threats, and procedures clearly and comprehensively.
• Skills in working with teams and communicating with various groups on security-related issues.
