Pay Rate :

The pay rate for this job is $25 - $26 / hour

What you'll be doing as a Shipping / Receiving Clerk :

• Performs computer data entry of shipping and receiving information.
• Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
• Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Confers with various purchasing departments to resolve incoming and outgoing shipment discrepancies.
• Complies with all environmental, health, safety, and housekeeping programs.
• Master understanding of SAP.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.

Job requirements :

• Computer Literacy : Proficiency in inventory management systems, data entry, and basic office software is important. Let's make sure they take the Excel and Word exam we have potential candidates complete.
• Attention to Detail Organizational skills : This is essential for accurately receiving, documenting, and shipping goods.

Errors in documentation or mismanagement of inventory can lead to significant logistical issues. They need to efficiently organize and manage manifests / BOLs, keep accurate records of shipments and receipts, and multitask between various sub processes.

Teamwork Communication : Collaborating effectively with scale house staff, drivers, operators, and other personnel is vital for a smooth operation.

Effective communication is key, both in writing and verbally. They often need to coordinate with suppliers, customers, and transportation companies, as well as internal departments.

• Adaptability and Flexibility : The ability to adapt to changes in schedules, unexpected delays, or urgent shipment requests is important in this dynamic field.
