  • Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is seeking a Purchasing Representative for a prominent manufacturing warehouse in Joplin, Mo!

  • Job Summary:
1. Pay: $21-23 an hour
  • Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
*
  • This position is responsible for the procurement of materials, equipment, and services to support Joplin manufacturing facility.
  • Issue requests for quotation, evaluate supplier bids, and negotiate final price
  • Negotiate final Terms and Conditions
  • Issue purchase orders to suppliers
  • Evaluate performance of existing suppliers and develop new qualified, competitive providers
  • Purchasing for Machine Shop, Maintenance, Tool room, Field Service, QA, Layout and Burn, Continuous Improvement, Safety, Grit Blast & carpenter’s shop.
  • Purchase Lubricants, weld wire, coolants, janitorial supplies, office supplies, coffee, water, floor mats, straps, and chains for use on the floor, bulk and cylinder gasses, water filtration for hydro testing, rental equipment and building supplies.
  • Expedite purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to contract requirements. This includes negotiating cost and delivery dates where applicable.
  • Acting liaison for cleaning person, lawn care, breakroom vending co., supply and tooling vending service, pest control, trash service, office equipment repairs, parts washer service, shut-down security
  • Entering incoming freight for all orders and open invoices.
  • Maintain and reconcile small parcel accounts and payments.
  • Responsible for approving invoices in question for accounting to assist in making invoices flow in a timely manner.
  • Assist in gathering information needed to maintain the C.S.L.
  • Ensure invoices are accurate.
  • Maintain Inspection and Plate logs.
  • Arrange for pick-up of refuse containers as requested.
  • Communicate and correct any discrepancies between ordered vs. received goods & equipment.
  • Verify receipt and quantities of materials upon in receiving of both MRO and Project raw materials.
  • Notate any discrepancies of quantities on packing list and bill of lading and report shortages to buyer.
  • Enter receipt of materials on Purchase Order in Cost Point as quickly as possible but no later than 24 hours within receipt.
  • Process documentation, packing list, bill of lading, CMTR’s per SOP’s requirements.

  • Production Operator Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • 2 years of college is preferred
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to interact with all disciplines and levels of the company
  • Ability to read and interpret written instructions
  • Basic math skills
  • Knowledge of standard office equipment, copy machines, fax machines, etc
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
