Inspector Job Summary:
- Pay: $16-$18 BOE
- Shifts Available:
- Responsible for assisting in a variety of skills encompassing most of the construction trades. Needs the ability to deal tactfully, effectively, and courteously with co-workers, management and our customers.
- Assist in the evaluating, repair and performing of minor plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems in the building.
- Communicates with the maintenance supervisor about any work that requires outside expert assistance.
- Perform a wide variety of general building maintenance repairs and services.
- Ability to work with tools and supplies necessary to complete tasks/projects.
- Receive and complete work orders while maintaining accurate records on material and labor.
- Requires flexibility and understanding that all maintenance staff may be required to perform duties outside their normal area of expertise to meet the mission and goals of the Facility Services Department
- High School Diploma or GED. One-year certificate from college or technical school, or one year related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Requires a minimum of one year experience working in a maintenance role.
- Must have some working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, lighting and electrical repair skills.
- Must be able to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with arms and hands. Must also be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, lift / move up to 50 pounds.
