IQEQ (https://iqeq.com/) is looking to hire a full-time, hybrid Private Equity Fund Accountant who will be a dedicated resource for HarbourView Equity Partners (https://www.harbourviewequity.com/). This new hire will work in HarbourView’s brand-new office located at 110 Edison Place in Newark, NJ office Tuesday through Thursday, be eligible for IQEQ’s full benefits package, and earn a generous base salary as well as a discretionary annual bonus.

 About HarbourView Equity Partners

Headquartered in Newark, NJ, HarbourView Equity Partners is a multi-strategy, global investment firm focused on esoteric investment opportunities in the entertainment and media space. We focus on equity and equity related investment opportunities that are supported by several factors including long duration revenue streams, resilience to broad economic downturns, and iconic intellectual property that withstands the test of time. We consider ourselves somewhat of a startup private equity fund, with a truly diverse team which prioritizes work life balance and is committed to a culture of trust.

We are looking for someone who enjoys learning new things and is willing to grow with the firm over the next several years.

The Role

We are looking to add a member to our finance team who will work directly with our two fund controllers, with an ultimate reporting line to the CFO. In this multifaceted position, you will not only drive accounting processes and accurate reporting, but also work with various teams such as investments, investor relations, and operations.

Your contributions will range from review of work done by our fund admin (quarterly estimates and fund NAV packages) to working with our finance and investor relations team on investor communications. You'll be instrumental in sending out capital calls, distribution notices, and preparing accurate calculations of management fees and performance metrics such as IRR. You will also be involved in assisting our fund admin and other members of the finance team with the preparation of financial statements for various entities, both for our funds and the management company, and finalizing those financial statements as part of our annual audits.

Beyond daily activities, this role’s focus is truly on innovation and continual, gradual improvement; from revising financial models to be more streamlined to creating ad-hoc analyses and spearheading special projects, your insights will assist the broader team in our making informed and timely decisions and setting clear strategic objectives.

In addition to the above, you will also gain exposure on the management company side, including the payment and tracking of invoices and allocation of expenses amongst various entities.

If you have always wanted to work with a diverse team on interesting projects, and are tired of being siloed and performing the same rote operations every day, this is the perfect opportunity for you. This is a chance to thrive in a role that promises growth, challenges, and the opportunity to make a significant impact within a forward-thinking organization that respects work-life balance.
