Currently, we are seeking a skilled phlebotomist to join our team and work at our patient service center.

If you do not have any prior experience as a phlebotomist, there is no need to worry. We are dedicated to providing comprehensive training to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge for the role. We believe in investing in our employees and providing them with the tools they need to succeed.

Essential Functions

  • Perform venipunctures and skin punctures to draw blood samples from patients of all ages.
  • Properly identify patients and ensure accurate labeling of collected specimens.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols to maintain a clean and sterile work environment.
  • Safely handle and transport collected specimens for laboratory testing.
  • Follow established procedures and protocols for specimen collection and handling.
  • Interact with patients in a professional and compassionate manner, providing clear instructions and ensuring their comfort during the procedure.
  • Maintain accurate records of collected specimens and patient information.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory of phlebotomy supplies and ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as nurses and laboratory staff, to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and precautions to prevent accidents or injuries during the phlebotomy process.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to privacy regulations.
  • Communicate any unusual findings or concerns regarding the phlebotomy process or patient specimens to appropriate healthcare personnel.
  • Stay updated on current phlebotomy techniques, best practices, and industry standards through continuous education and training.
  • Provide assistance to technical personnel with non-clinical activities, such as organizing and labeling specimens, cleaning and maintaining equipment, and managing paperwork.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Adhere to ethical standards and legal regulations related to phlebotomy and patient care.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current CPR certification
  • Proof of COVID vaccination
  • 18 years old and above
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be able to lift 75 pounds at times
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
