We have an opportunity for a Lean Engineer to join our Delavan, WI team. You will identify, plan, and deliver key business results related to process efficiencies, customer satisfaction, and employee development, across all business functions through Lean Enterprise activities.

You will:

  • Lead and/or participate in continuous improvement and kaizen events as required.
  • Contribute to developing the annual site PIMS implementation plan based on value stream maps, the annual site metric deployment and management system assessment to drive waste reduction while improving employee safety.
  • Support Director of Operations and Department Managers with capacity and staffing levels using flex plans based off the actual work content.
  • Search for opportunities to reduce waste when observing these items.
  • Work with Line Associates, Process Leaders, and Value Stream Leaders to insure daily SQDCC safety, quality, delivery, cash flow, and productivity goals are met.
  • Design and implement lean processes and systems while following the PDCA cycle. Prepares technical and progress reports. Develops and writes procedures for processes. Assures adherence to production methods (Kanban, 5S).
  • Work to identify waste and solve problems in manufacturing work cells.
  • Lead and supports efforts to create lean materials flow throughout the entire site and supply chain. Supports changes implemented because of Lean Manufacturing activities.

Key Qualifications:

  • Education: bachelor's degree (B.A., B.S.) in an Engineering discipline or equivalent. (Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering preferable)
  • 1 years in a focused Continuous Improvement or Lean Engineering position.
  • Experience implementing and leading Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement efforts/projects.
  • Excellent communications skills (read, write, and speak) to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.: Lean Mastery certification preferred.
