Penske Truck Leasing and Logistics is Hiring a Project Leader Near Reading, PA

Position Summary:

The Project Leader will support the growth of EV energy advisory service solutions and infrastructure development and implementation for customers in the US. This role will work closely with the Penske Energy leadership team in driving the growth of client portfolios and project pipelines. The Project Leader will be responsible for tracking, analyzing, and supporting the pursuits of new opportunities for growth in rapidly expanding and evolving markets. The incumbent will use their analytic and problem-solving skills to develop persuasive value propositions for prospective clients and sound economic fundamentals for investors. Working alongside of the leadership team, the Project Leader will support skillfully influencing the decision-makers of our current and future clients in conjunction with Penske Energy initiatives. The role will provide support in creating solutions involving ZEV strategy and infrastructure analysis. This support includes ZEV feasibility studies, scenario planning, charging network design and engineering, utility and energy availability, and grants and funding.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Engage prospects and customers through consultative communication to understand their needs and requirements including collection, coordination and preparation of required documentation.
  • Develop/build impactful customer proposals and presentations conveying Penske Energy potential solutions in support of sales activities.
  • Interface closely with and foster collaboration between multiple Penske departments, ForeFront Power, and vendor partners to quickly achieve cohesive customer-focused solutions.
  • Organize, plan, and execute project activity and project reporting while managing customer budget expectations.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the existing and emerging ZEV marketplace and landscape including tracking emerging impactful regulatory conditions.
  • Achieve and exceed revenue and growth targets through support of the Business Plan.
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience that reinforces and adds to the customer's relationship.
  • Work across both Penske and ForeFront Power to maximize the combined customer experience.
  • Other projects/tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree required in data engineering, business and technical engineering.
  • Preferred Certifications in Product (Pragmatic, Agile, etc.); Process (Six Sigma, Lean, etc.) and Project (PMI, etc.).
  • Minimum 3 or more years of project management or analytics roles in a service, transportation, or renewable energy field is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Green Belt /Black Belt skills and certification a plus
  • Effective and strong communication skills, including oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently with strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the transportation industry.
  • Strong desire to learn and understand the emerging vehicle and charging technologies.
  • Experience leading/managing projects and project teams is required; formal training in this area is a plus.
  • Strong reporting and analytic skills
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
