Highlights of the position:

• Works within leadership team to ensure clinical operations are patient-centered and mission-focused. Continuously looks to seek improvement and implement best practices.
• Supports the Clinical Operations Supervisor (COS) in leading the MA team on a daily basis, providing a model of positive, compassionate care for our patients and service for our providers.
• Supports the COS in hiring/mentoring/training the MA team to continually improve performance and clinical competencies. Engages in ongoing conversation for quality monitoring and development.
• Empowers all levels of staff to achieve excellences and promotes a positive work environment.
• Collaborates with practice leadership team on workflow changes, process improvement, and in delivery of supreme patient care.
• Engages and supports patients to ensure they feel heard, respected, and involved in their care.
• Performs all functions of Medical Assistant role as outlined in PCHC’s Medical Assistant Job Description and Clinical Competency Checklist. Is flexible in adapting to the needs of the clinic, functioning as a Medical Assistant working with a provider as needed.

Education and Experience:

• A college degree is preferred. High school diploma required.
• Minimum of three years of experience in a primary healthcare or related professional setting as a Medical Assistant required.
• Demonstrated aptitude for supervision and/or leadership roles. Relevant experience in a position with some leadership responsibility at PCHC may be substituted for previous supervisory experience.
• Certified Medical Assistant through the AAMA preferred.
• Will have up to-date training and certification in Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Health & Safety Institute. Must obtain within 2 weeks if not current at hire.
