Job Overview

Member of a team with a focus on innovation and process improvement through technology and analytics. Primary responsibilities include utilizing business analysis and data science techniques to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, drive strategy and to implement solutions through process engineering, automation and alternative/emerging technologies. Team members will also help drive strategic technology initiatives and act as a liaison between core IT functions and business leadership along with providing general analytics and reporting support.

A Typical Day

As the Business Analyst, you will support daily operations as well as strategic initiatives, mainly through reporting and analytics routines. Daily operations include a mix of recurring or structured report production as well as ad hoc. While this role requires a technical skill set, problem solving skills and a willingness to learn are significant drivers of success.

The Business Support Analyst will:

  • Perform analysis and produce reporting on routine and ad-hoc basis
  • Understand, interpret, and present recommendations for action based on a data-driven analytics
  • Identify and develop automation processes to improve efficiency
  • Build and deploy statistical or machine learning models
  • Assist in the development and testing of proof of concept technology projects
  • Provide general reporting and analytics support to business leaders

What You’ll Bring

  • Technology, Mathematics, Finance or Economics background preferred
  • Understanding of how to extract, manipulate and analyze data from various sources (SQL experience is a plus)
  • Experience with statistical or data science tools (R, Python, SAS, etc.)
  • Experience or aptitude for programming (Python, Java, etc) 
  • Familiarity with AWS, Snowflake, Tableau is a plus
  • Demonstrate ability to provide and implement a solution to a problem articulated by management
  • Ability to communicate key concepts in analytics and technology effectively

Compensation: Individual salary may vary based on multiple factors including specific role, geographic location / market data, and skills and experience as defined below:

  • Lower in range - Building skills and experience in the role
  • Mid-range - Experience and skills align with proficiency in the role 
  • Higher in range - Experience and skills add value above typical requirements of the role 

Some roles may be eligible for performance-based compensation and/or stock-based incentives awarded to employees based on company and individual performance.
